Setting Up The Trade Part 3B : How Two Measures of Volume Help To Confirm Entry

This gets a little tricky, but what I will do today is introduce the concepts. We will get into how this affects trade management in greater detail later.

This is Friday’s hourly chart that shows how selling volume confirmed with the binary indicator to show where a bearish breakout in price was about to occur and did. The Volume Profile, which was indicating limited trading between that green dotted line (the unfair low), also demonstrated that the move would be significant, which it was:

This shows a 15-minute chart with the trade I successfully completed Friday morning. More about these set-ups will be coming. It can be difficult to video while trading, but I am working on a solution for that limitation.

The trade was a short trade, and volume quickly reversed afterward. In future parts of “Setting Up The Trade”, I will discuss how I handle this situation.
